The following is a condensed version of Taos Police reports from Dec. 9 – 13.
DEC. 9 Psychiatric Behavior, Gusdorf Place
2:22 a.m.
– An officer reported a male individual walking on the side of the road wearing nothing but a blanket.
6:16 a.m.
Fraud/Forgery, Calle Palomita
– A caller said she noticed someone had been cashing checks that she had not given and that it had been happening since November.
12:22 p.m. Harassment, Quality Inn – An employee said a man was harassing them and wouldn’t leave them alone, and was also causing trouble in his room.
2:03 p.m. Larceny, Walmart –A caller said their wallet was stolen when they were showing the clerk their ID.
DEC. 10 Welfare Check, Herdner Road
9:54 a.m.
– A caller said an older man was yelling at a young child and the child looked upset. 10:50 a.m. Wild Animal, Friday Motors – A caller said a goat was running across the road by the dealership.
11:40 a.m. Animal Abuse, La Posta Place – A caller said they believe their neighbor is poisoning their dogs, as two of their dogs have died this week.
1:06 p.m.
Trespassing, Not Forgotten Outreach
– A caller said a woman in a Ford sedan was refusing to leave the property and blocking the entrance.
4:58 p.m.
Information Report, Don Fernando Street
– A caller said police cars keep parking in front of her husband’s house and is worried they are secretly investigating him.
7:20 p.m. Trespassing, Tierra Montosa – A caller said her son was very intoxicated and knocking on her door constantly and wouldn’t go away.
DEC. 11 Domestic Disturbance, Weimer Road
7:32 a.m.
– A caller said his girlfriend got mad at him for taking their son out in public and hit the caller in the face and body. 9:18 a.m.
Information Report, Mariposa Place
– A caller said she had posted a crimestopper report on social media the previous day about a man, and the man’s family had started to make threatening remarks. 12:31 p.m. Agency Assistance, Apache Street – A caller said she needed to know the welfare of three young children as their mother was not answering the phone. 2:30 p.m.
Trespassing, Enterprise Rent–a–Car
– An employee said a man who didn’t qualify to rent a car was banging on the doors and refusing to leave.
3:06 p.m. Welfare Check, Kit Carson Road – A caller said she was a therapist and that one of her clients had suffered abuse. 9:19 p.m. Welfare Check, Kachina Lodge – A caller said a man was asleep at the wheel of his car while parked.
DEC. 12 Reckless Driving, Walmart
3:56 a.m.
– A caller said there were cars doing donuts in the parking lot. 10:34 a.m. Rental Scam, Los Pandos Road – A caller said they believe to be a victim of a scam by an individual posing as the landlord of a house that wasn’t actually for rent.
2:47 p.m. Assault, Speedway –A caller said a man had pulled a firearm on him and had been coming in every day since.
10:35 p.m.
Walmart – A caller said there was a truck doing donuts in the field between Walmart and the new apartments on Herdner Road.
Reckless Driving, DEC. 13 Welfare Check, Calle
12:21 a.m. del Sol – A caller said a man was walking in the snowstorm and was wondering why anyone would be out in a storm so late.
7:42 a.m. Prowler, Nusenda –A caller said a man in an orange ski cap was walking through peoples’ yards and was looking in the window of a young girl’s room.
9:12 a.m.
Plaza – A caller said a man in a red pickup was driving through the plaza and almost hit the caller. 1:49 p.m. Shots Fired, Paseo Del Cañon – A caller said two individuals in a vehicle had a gun and fired shots. The caller believed them to be involved in criminal drug activity. 4:29 p.m. Disturbing the Peace, Gusdorf Road – A caller said that there were kids playing outside too loudly. The officers informed the caller not to dial 911 for such circumstances.
