Good coffee for a good cause
Taos Roasters is offer- ing a special dark roast, organic, whole bean coffee for sale with proceeds to benefit Stray Hearts.
Taos Roasters Operations Manager and artisan roaster, Nancy Hover, a longtime volunteer at the shelter, has selected “just the right beans to start your day,” according to Donna Karr, executive director of Stray Hearts.
Taos Roasters is donating the coffee to Stray Hearts, allowing for 100 percent of the proceeds to benefit the shelter. The whole bean coffee is available online at strayhearts.org/onlinestore.
Shelters supporters can also shop the Helping Hearts Gift Catalog, the nonprofit's new impact gift program.
“Our catalog offers a unique way to celebrate the animal lovers in your life. With gifts at any price, you will make an impact at our shelter by sponsoring food, supplies, resources and medical attention in the name of your loved one,” said Karr.
Karr is currently working to raise $80,000 to hire a full-time, yearround veterinarian for the shelter.
To purchase coffee, which can be shipped or picked up at the Stray Hearts ReTails store on Paseo del Sur, by appointment, shop the Gift Catalog or to make a donation, visit strayhearts. org.
