The Taos Center for the Arts received a Baldwin Grand piano, model SF, vintage 1987, with a provenance dating back to a Kennedy Center practice room, which is suitable for professional performances. The piano was donated by a musicloving couple who have long been supporters of TCA, but wish to remain anonymous. “Having this concert-quality piano means that organizations renting the auditorium need not in addition rent and transport a piano,” TCA press states. “This will be a great savings and convenience for many renters including the Taos Jazz and Bebop Society, Taos Opera Institute, and many others.” Colette LaBouff, TCA executive director said they “look forward to inviting artists, performers and the community to play the piano for audiences – both streamed and live – in the coming days.” For more about TCA, contact Colette LaBouff at colette@tcataos. org or call (575) 758-2052. 5-ACTIONS PROGRAM™ ( NM5actions.com) is a digital program designed to help adults (18 and older) address challenges associated with alcohol, other drugs and behavioral addictions (e.g., gambling, sex, technology, food).
