Age 55, a resident of Ranchos de Taos, passed away unexpected­ly on March 15, 2021. Joe was born on April 30, 1965, he was the seventh eldest of eleven children. Joe is survived by his parents Manuel “Pablito Red” and Flora Trujillo. His siblings are Shirley (Johnny) Gurule, Manuel (Teresa), Linda (Macario) del Rosario, Ted (Josie), Paul (Darlene), Dennis (Lorraine), Andy, Jerry (Franscella), Johnny (Laura), Alex (Sonya). He is loved and adored by his partner of 10 years, Mellissa DeHerrera, and numerous nieces & nephews, cousins, and friends. Joe was an extremely hard worker who loved riding horses, hunting, fishing and going to the mountains for Latia’s and wood. Those of us who knew him will never forget how he made us laugh. He took great comfort in being the protector of his family and friends. He will forever be in our hearts, and his legacy will live on forever. Private family services were held, and burial took place at the Martinez Cemetery in Ranchos De Taos on Friday March 19, 2021. He is survived by his wife Grace Romero; children Geneva Vigil (Mark), Joann Romero; grandchild­ren Jerome Vigil, Marcos Vigil, Marlena Vigil, and Valentin Espinoza, III; siblings Bernie Romero (Gloria), Loyola Aguirre (Salvador), Lorraine Aguirre, Phillip Romero (Aline), Diana Struck (Nick); sisters-in-law Rosalie Romero, Alice Padilla, Jeanette Sandoval(Jimmy), Sandra Montoya (Benjie), Pauline Salazar, Berna Salazar, and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and cherished friends. Private Family Services will be held and burial will take place at the Vietnam Veterans Cemetery in Angel Fire, NM.
