Age 58, a lifelong resident of Taos, NM entered the Gates of Paradise and into peace on February 25, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father Bentura Sabino Trujillo; mother Rose M. Mondragon-Trujillo; grandparen­ts (paternal) Abran and Piedad Trujillo; (maternal) grandmothe­r Francisca Gonzales-Pacheco; father-in-law Jose Frank Hammer; godparents Joe and Carol Maldonado; brother Daniel Trujillo; niece Destiny Trujillo; nephew Jeffrey Gonzales; brothers-in-law Julian H. Sandoval, Carlos Miera and Agapito Gonzales. Michael is survived by his son Michael Trujillo and daughter Shurey Trujillo; grandsons JoeMike Trujillo, Thiago Trujillo and Jesus Trujillo; brother Pat Drake, sisters Betty Sandoval, Juanita Salazar (Bernabe), JoAnn Gonzales, Peggy Trujillo, Loretta Miera, Lisa Trujillo, Carolyn Trujillo; special nephews David Sandoval, Victor Salazar and Sonny Abeyta; special friends Ralph Romero, Philip Maestas, Mario Dominguez, Mike Dominguez, Jr., Ken Swengel and Little Ray Cortez; favorite companions (horse) Wedo, (dog) Izzy Hopper; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends. He was a veteran of the United States Army, and worked as a constructi­on contractor, foreman skilled and known for his excellent carpentry and perfection in his work. He was nick-named “Captain”. Michael was an avid outdoorsma­n, who loved hunting, fishing and camping. He was a man of faith, devoted to his family and cherished his grandsons.
