The following is a condensed list of events that occurred in the town of Taos. SEPT. 7

7:45 a.m. Criminal Damage, Taos

Physical Therapy – Caller said the mailboxes were broken into and mail was gone.

8:19 a.m. Harassment, Randall Lumber & Hardware – Caller said her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend kept harassing her by threatenin­g to fight her.

1:57 p.m. Larceny, Hinds & Hinds Budget Storage – Caller said his storage unit was broken into and someone cut the lock and took some items. SEPT. 8

9:23 a.m. Criminal Damage,

Amador Lane – Caller said she owns an AirBnB property and guests destroyed the sink, broke furniture and busted the stove.

9:44 a.m. Trespassin­g, Walmart – Caller said a woman trespassed and injured the head of an employee not wearing a mask.

12:07 p.m. Trespassin­g, 575 Sports & Co. – Caller said there were three makeshift homes behind the school on Gusdorf Road. They requested police move the homes since they were close to a school. Responders arrived and advised the suspect that if they remained or returned to the property they would be charged with criminal trespassin­g.

6:31 p.m. Public Health Order

Violation, Cid’s Food Market – Caller said they counted 11 people in the store not wearing masks. Caller did not want to make a report, but wanted Cid’s to mandate masks for all customers.

SEPT. 9

8:15 a.m. Trespassin­g, Taos

Internatio­nal School – Caller said they were concerned about a huge homeless camp where their son goes to school and wanted the people removed. Responders arrived and reported no one was there. 10:21 a.m. Trespassin­g, Wendy’s – Caller said a homeless man had been sleeping on a mattress for over a week. Caller also said he was burning himself with a lighter and yelling at customers.

4:37 p.m. Animal Abuse, Cid’s Food

Market – Caller said a woman in a silver truck was punching and kicking a dog. Responders said that the dog seemed alright and had water. 5:08 p.m. Assault, Taos Post Office – Caller said a man pulled a gun on him and drove off in a maroon Subaru Wagon on the back roads. Responders were in pursuit. SEPT. 10

9:56 a.m. Public Health Order

Violation, UPS Store – Caller said a man refused to leave the store after being asked to for not wearing a mask. Caller also said the male became belligeren­t with employees and customers.

3:39 p.m. Larceny, Herdner Road – Caller said someone stole his phone and money from his apartment. 8:46 a.m. Disorderly Conduct, Blake’s Lotaburger – Caller said a man harassed employees and customers and was refusing to leave. SEPT. 11

11:38 a.m. Trespassin­g, Walmart – Caller said a man was causing problems in the store and is trespassin­g. Responders did not make contact with him.

12:32 p.m. Criminal Damage,

Herdner Road – Caller said someone tore apart his fence and skirting around a mobile home. Responders said the home had been abandoned for years and changed the nature of the crime to an Informatio­nal Report. 4:21 p.m. Burglary Residentia­l, El

Cerrito Apartments – Caller said his wife’s apartment had been broken into and a lot of things were stolen. 7:04 p.m. Criminal Damage, Gusdorf Place – Caller said a group of kids took down a stop sign and were laying it on the ground.

SEPT. 12

7:43 p.m. Property Found, Super 8 – Caller said they found a wallet with an ID in it.

7:57 p.m. Disorderly Conduct, Bent St. – Caller said a man and woman attempted to attack the caller. 8:26 a.m. Trespassin­g, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – Caller said that two men hanging around the area refused to leave. Responders made contact with the men after they had left the scene.
