The following is a condensed list of events that occurred in the Town of Taos.

APRIL 6

7:20 a.m. Welfare Check, Herdner Road – Caller said an individual in a silver Mazda didn't look good and their lips were turning purple. The driver was just asleep in the car. 9:18 a.m. Narcotics Offense, Herdner Road – Caller said there was a woman parked in a Mazda that was still running that looked like it was involved in an accident. The woman was passed out at the wheel and was arrested.

10:08 a.m. Stalking, Camino de la Placita – Caller said someone in a Jeep was stalking her and following her to the Taos Police Department. The stalker turned out to be a private investigat­or who was apparently following the wrong vehicle.

4:33 p.m. Battery, La Posta and Salazar – Caller said there were three men fighting in the street. Two vehicles took off when officers arrived. A woman told officers her granddaugh­ter was beaten up and had her purse stolen.

APRIL 7

5:35 a.m. Burglary, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – Caller said someone broke in the glass next to the shoe repair shop and the screen door was knocked in. The owner of the building was called.

7:79 a.m. Fire, Kachina Lodge – Caller said he is a neighbor of the Kachina Lodge and could see a fire in the back rooms. See story above. 2:23 p.m. Criminal Damage, Camino de la Placita – Caller said they had security footage of someone cutting their internet lines and they wanted to make a report.

3:04 p.m. Public Affray, Cervantes Drive – Cashier said a large group of kids looked to be fighting and jumping on each other. They said the kids probably had police scanners because they left as soon as the call came in.

APRIL 8

12:01 a.m. Prowler, Sagebrush Inn – Caller said their was a man in a black jacket knocking on her window asking for money.

1:30 a.m. Suspicious Circumstan­ces – Caller said there were two young males running around the neighborho­od and wanted a patrol. No contact was made. 10:09 a.m. Reckless Driver, Pase del Pueblo Norte – Caller said there was a seemingly intoxicate­d woman doing donuts in a parking lot. 2:26 p.m. Welfare Check, IHOP – Caller said a man in a white shirt and black pants left Walmart and was stumbling toward IHOP and that he fell down and took off his pants.

APRIL 9 Informatio­n Report, Burch Street

10:49 a.m.

– Caller said someone was sending her death threats via text and didn't' know who it was. 11:57 a.m. Trespassin­g, OSO Cannabis – Caller said there was a man trespassin­g and being rude to the staff.

2:20 p.m. Domestic Disturbanc­e, Dolan Street – Caller said her son beat her up and took her car and she wanted to speak to an officer. 6:35 p.m. Harassment, Paseo del Cañon – Caller said there was a girl following her in a black Chevy Malibu.

APRIL 10 Missing Juveniles, DreamTree Project

12:53 a.m.

– Caller said three children ran off but heard noises while making the call and they appeared to have returned.

1:56 p.m. Loitering, Walgreens

– Caller said there were homeless people out front begging for money and harassing customers. They were told to leave the property.

3:26 p.m. Narcotics Offense, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – Caller said there was a silver Saturn with people inside possibly doing drugs.

APRIL 11

6:26 a.m. Criminal Damage, Paseo del Cañon

– Caller said a woman was going through a dumpster. The building owner did not want to make a report.

7:06 a.m. Breaking and Entering, Don Fernando de Taos – Caller said there were two men trying to break into other vehicles in the parking lot. They were both arrested.

11:32 a.m.

– Caller said he and his friend have a panic word together and his friend just called and said the panic word. A drunk woman turned out to be yelling at the friend. 4:44 p.m. Narcotics Offense, Smith’s – Caller said a man in a tie dye shirt appeared to be smoking narcotics in his car. He was arrested and taken to Holy Cross for clearance.
