APRIL 27

5:56 a.m. Animal Stray, Weimer

Road – Caller said there were two horses in the road in front of the Holy Cross emergency room. The horses were put into an enclosed area. 10:23 a.m. Welfare Check, Storytelle­r Cinema – Caller said there was a man passed out by the dumpsters and wanted someone to check on him. He was “just taking a nap.”

1:52 p.m. Threatenin­g Phone Call, Stray Hearts – Animal control received a call stating an individual threatened to bring their gun with them when they came to pick up their dog.

4:19 p.m. Suspicious Circumstan­ce, Roy Road – Caller said she found a box of cigarettes and a bottle of whiskey in her mother’s backyard that did not belong to her mother.

APRIL 28

8:23 a.m. Animal Stray, Cruz Alta – Caller said there was another horse in the roadway near the Weimer Foothills area. The owner was contacted. 10:32 a.m. Larceny, Paseo del Pueblo Norte – Caller said someone broke into her car the previous night and stole her registrati­on and insurance. A report was filed.

12:58 p.m. Larceny, Salazar Road

– Caller said items that were shown as delivered were not at their house. They called back to say they found their packages.

1:31 p.m. Welfare Check, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – Caller said a woman was crying and lying down on the sidewalk and said she tried jumping in front of carts. An officer said she appeared to be “slightly upset” and kept an eye on her.

7:33 p.m. Informatio­n Report, Allsup’s – Caller said a man was dragging a dog by the leash and when confronted by the caller, threatened them. No contact was made.

9:01 p.m. Psychiatri­c Behavior, Gusdorf Road – Caller said there was someone getting tortured at the abandoned hotel across from Walmart and they were getting the message telepathic­ally. No contact was made with anyone being tortured.

APRIL 29

9:25 a.m. Informatio­n Report, Este

Es Road – Caller said his neighbor was being scammed by a man who she had allowed to stay on her property.

4:23 p.m. Theft of a Motor Vehicle, El Camino Lodge – Caller said their black Chevy Traverse was stolen from the parking lot, and they still had the key. Officers located the vehicle and a woman was arrested.

4:50 p.m. Disturbing the Peace, Albertsons – Caller said someone was running and jumping on the roof. No contact was made.

5:07 p.m. Civil Complaint, Paseo del Pueblo Norte – Caller said her landlord had removed all the doors in her apartment. The officer said they had been there for a previous call a week prior in which the landlord gave notice they were going to fix the doors. No report was filed.

APRIL 30

3:58 a.m. Suspicious Circumstan­ces, Taos Public

Library – Caller said there was a vehicle parked in front of the library since 12:30 a.m. and it was still there.

A woman was given a ride home. 8:41 a.m. Trespassin­g, Speedway – Caller said there was a man harassing customers trying to get money. He was removed from the property. 11:38 a.m. Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Montoya Street – Caller said someone stole their 1989 Toyota 4Runner. A report was filed.

1:15 p.m. Narcotics Offense, Eco Park – Caller said there was a large group of approximat­ely 15 teens smoking cannabis in the parking lot and that they also “had a large amount of marijuana in their hands.” No contact was made.

MAY 1

2:58 a.m. Welfare Check, Ace Hardware – Caller said he was freezing and wanted a ride home to Española. The officer offered to take him to the men’s shelter or a hotel but the man got upset and refused. 5:31 a.m. Trespassin­g, Cielo Azul Apartments – Caller said two kids wearing hoodies chased after him and almost ran him over so he punched their back window out. No contact was made with the kids in hoodies. 7:28 p.m. Choking, Linda Vista Lane – A man was choking and laying on the ground not moving a lot, and eventually threw up. He was taken to Holy Cross.

8:16 p.m. Murder, Fresquez Road – Caller said they heard four gunshots come from a black Ford Explorer parked on the road. See story on page A1.

MAY 2

11:35 a.m. Suspicious Circumstan­ces, Allsup’s – Caller said a man was behind the store acting strange and wanted an officer to come by. The man left prior the the officer’s arrival.

1:13 p.m. Larceny, Super 8 – Caller said a backpack with money in it was stolen from the breakfast area. 7:16 p.m. Informatio­n Report, Calle de Oro – Caller said they wanted an officer to come by in reference to someone trying to set her dogs on fire.

8:05 p.m. Trespassin­g, Albertsons – Caller said a girl was smoking meth in the restroom.
