-

Age 71, a resident of Rio Rancho, NM passed away April 14th 2022. He is survived by his son James and the light of his life, his grandchildren Mandy and Carson, brother Larry, sisters Kathy and Barbara, his best buddy, partner, and brother-inlaw Alfred Grant. He leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews who he loved very much. Danny was preceded in death by his beloved wife Mandy, his parents Hester and Jack Bostian, and his sister Susie Stover. Danny was born in Morrilton, Arkansas on 06/19/1950, moved to Taos as a young cild and lived there until his family moved to Larimee, Wyoming where he graduated from high school. Upon graduating Danny was drafted into the Army where he served in Vietnam as part of theU.S. Army Green Berets 5th Special Group as a scout dog handler. After returning from Vietnam and bouncing around the country for a number of years with different professions, Danny met the love of his life Mandy Gilbert in Houston, TX. They were later married in Miami, FL on 10/30/1988 before having their son James in 1992. Being a father was Danny’s greatest joy in life. Cancer took Mandy in 2002 leaving Danny with a 10yr old boy to raise on his own. Shortly thereafter, Dan began to suffer from health issues rendering him in a wheelchair which prompted him and James to move back to NM. Even though he was in a wheelchair daily, you would never hear him complain, he was a gentle giant. More than anything, he loved his family, fishing, hunting and long trips to the casino with his fishing partner, Alfred. Danny made the most of a very difficult life every day and made sure his family was always taken care of despite his own struggles. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
