MAY 18

4:08 a.m. Fire, Kit Carson Road – Caller said someone had a large fire off Witt Road. Contact was made with an individual and the fire appeared to be small.

10:24 a.m. Stray Animal, Dona Luz Street – Caller said there was a rattlesnak­e in the parking lot. No snake was located by an officer.

12:40 p.m. Welfare Check, Hernder Road – Caller said a man was laying on the side of a building and wanted an officer to check on him. He was taken to Holy Cross.

9:08 p.m. Unknown Problem, Taos Plaza – Caller said someone threw a water balloon at their car from a rooftop.

MAY 19

12:29 a.m. Welfare Check, KFC – Caller said a man was lying by the menu board and wouldn’t wake up. He eventually left the property. 11:41 a.m. Informatio­n Report, Taos Middle School – Caller said there were homeless people living in the culvert by the school. They were given until the end of the day to leave. 11:48 a.m. Trespassin­g, Taos Spa

– Caller said there was a man there who snuck into the spa the previous night and got aggressive when asked to leave. He eventually left the spa. 4:39 p.m. Harassment, Taco Bell

– Caller said a man kept calling the store and threatenin­g to shoot them if they didn’t give him a refund. A report was filed.

MAY 20

9:25 a.m. Domestic Disturbanc­e, Taos Valley Lodge – Caller said a man and woman staying in one of the rooms were yelling and fighting. The couple were asked to leave and did so. 11:59 a.m. Animal Stray, Super Save – Caller said they saw someone put a full-size brown dog in the green donation box. An officer did not hear any dog inside the box after listening for several minutes. 2:24 p.m. Identity Theft, Ranchitos Road – Caller said TurboTax notified her someone stole her identity and filed a tax return in her name. A report was filed. 7:29 p.m. Reckless Driver, Weimer Road – Caller said someone was driving a dune buggy by the water tower at a high rate of speed.

MAY 21

1:20 a.m. Stabbing, Vista del Ocaso

Road – Caller said he stabbed his husband in the chest and was then threatenin­g to kill himself. The caller was taken to county jail and the other man was taken to Holy Cross. 12:49 p.m. Narcotics Offense, Smith’s – Caller said there was a woman in the bathroom doing drugs and refusing to leave. No contact was made.

2:01 p.m. Informatio­n Report,

Manzanares Street – Caller said there was a man going through her car and he took off walking toward the plaza. No contact was made. MAY 22 6:34 a.m. Informatio­n Report, Spin & Sparkle Laundromat – Caller said someone broke the coin box on the mechanical horse and stole the money. A report was filed.

12:08 p.m. Structure Fire, Salazar

Road – Caller said a shed on his property was fully engulfed in flames. The fire was eventually put out. See full story on A15.

4:20 p.m. Burglary, Smith’s – Caller said someone broke into her car and stole her purse. A report was filed. 10:58 p.m. Suspicious Circumstan­ces, Apache Road – Caller said she got home and found her trailer moved and thought someone was trying to steal it. Video footage revealed the trailer was not moved.
