The following is a condensed list of reports made to Taos Central Dispatch within the town of Taos from Feb. 17-21.

FEB. 17

3:46 a.m. Residentia­l Burglary,

Montoya Street — Caller said there was someone banging on the door and tried running through it while she and some friends were inside. The caller’s friend was outside at the time, and the two men banging on the door “pistol whipped” him and took his wallet and keys before leaving the premises on foot. Police made no contact with the men. 1:12 p.m. Welfare Check, Herdner Road — Caller said a woman looked “out of it” and was walking in the middle of the road.

1:14 p.m. Stray Animal, Bendix Road — Caller said there was a pig on the shoulder of the road. Police made contact with the owners. 5:22 p.m. Informatio­n Report, Nusenda Credit Union — Caller said a man would not stop harassing him and followed him in his car to Walmart, where he continued to harass him.

7:39 p.m. DUI, Lovato Place — Caller said a drunk homeless man was attempting to run people over in his truck. He was transporte­d to Holy Cross Medical Center.

FEB. 18

3:22 a.m. Welfare Check, Kit Carson Road — Caller said people were “fornicatin­g” in the municipal parking lot. They told the people to put their clothes on and leave.

5:07 p.m. Welfare Check, Family Dollar — Caller said there was a woman in a car screaming she was going to kill herself before driving off.

5:17 p.m. Psychiatri­c Behavioral, Habitat for Humanity Re-Store — Caller said there was a man possibly under the influence rolling in the mud. No report was filed.

7:46 p.m. Trespassin­g, Albertsons — Caller was outside and informed dispatch he had been previously banished from the store for stealing and “getting violent.” It was at this point that the nature of the call was changed from “suspicious circumstan­ce”

to “trespassin­g.” 10:51 p.m. Disturbing the Peace,

Taos Plaza — Caller said there was a woman screaming in her car before taking off. The screaming was then heard near the gorge, where police made contact with the woman, who was distressed over an argument with a friend.

FEB. 19

8:18 a.m. Gunshot, El Taoseño — Caller said someone shot himself behind the restaurant then hung up. There was no sign of blood on location. A report was filed.

7:18 p.m. Trespassin­g, Albertsons — Caller said there was a man doing drugs in the bathroom. He then got into an argument with the manager. 11:17 p.m. Disorderly Conduct, Guadalajar­a Grill Northside — Caller said kids were throwing eggs at cars. Police did not make contact.

FEB. 20 3:32 a.m. Suspicious Circumstan­ce, Taos Plaza — Caller said there were a bunch of people dancing in the gazebo having “some sort of rave.”

12:46 p.m. Suspicious Circumstan­ce, Super Save — Caller said a man tried entering their vehicle while they were inside, slamming his body against the exterior before taking off.

4:16 p.m. Shopliftin­g, Super Save — Caller said a group of kids stole hot food and some drinks and drove off. They do this every morning as well, the caller added.

FEB. 21

7:10 a.m. Welfare Check, Sipapu

Street — Caller said a man is taking bicycles to the back of the Public Defender building and kicking around a basketball. Police made contact. It was just a man who was dumpster diving.

2:20 p.m. Suspicious Circumstan­ce, Paseo del Pueblo Sur

— Caller said a car had crashed into the side of a building and was “still there.” It had been leaking oil. 8:07 p.m. Shots Fired, Salazar Road — Caller said someone had shot up his truck.
