Carole Morley of West Norriton

Carole C. (Calvert) Morley, a lifelong Norristown area resident, passed away peacefully at her home in West Norriton on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014. She was 81.

Born in Philadelph­ia, Pa., on Dec. 11, 1932, she was a daughter of the late William W. & Eleanor (Murdock) Calvert.

She was the wife of the late William R. Morley and the former wife of the late David D. Johnson, who passed away in 1978.

Carole was a retired art teacher with the Norristown Area School District.

She volunteere­d as a Red Cross grey lady at the former Montgomery Hospital, and she was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader. She was a former Republican committeew­oman and she was also a member of the Norristown Garden Club.

Carole enjoyed animals of all kinds, and she adopted a couple of rescue dogs. She enjoyed providing art lessons to children. She also enjoyed reading and being at the beach and being out in the sun. She loved music and dance and she enjoyed shopping, especially at her favorite store, Macy’s.

She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.

Carole is survived by her daughter, Leslie Kosky of Warwick, R.I.; sister Judith E. Yerkes of New Hope, Pa.; brother William W. Calvert of Delaware; and a granddaugh­ter, Katie Xiao Lei.

A memorial Funeral Service for Carole will be held on Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike East Norriton, PA 19401; 610-277-1600.

Friends may call Friday morning from 10-11 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will be private
