Jud­son Press au­thor Ro­mal Tune nom­i­nated for NAACP Im­age Award

Ro­mal Tune is known for his ad­vo­cacy on be­half of the un­der­served and youth.

His real-life strug­gle was nar­rated in his de­but book “God's Graf­fiti: In­spir­ing Sto­ries for Teens.” The book, re­leased in June 2013 by Jud­son Press of Val­ley Forge, has been nom­i­nated for an NAACP Im­age Award in the Out­stand­ing Literary Work youth/ teens cat­e­gory.

The NAACP Im­age Awards hon­ors the ac­com­plish­ments of peo­ple of color in 54 com­pet­i­tive cat­e­gories in the fields of tele­vi­sion, mu­sic, lit­er­a­ture and film, and hon­ors those who pro­mote so­cial jus­tice through cre­ative en­deav­ors.

Win­ners are voted upon by NAACP mem­bers. The NAACP Im­age Awards are pre­sented by the Na­tional As­so­ci­a­tion for the Ad­vance­ment of Col­ored Peo­ple, the coun­tries old­est and largest civil rights or­ga­ni­za­tion with about 500,000 mem­bers.
