Louis Sambrick of Norristown PA, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, October 18 with his son and daughters by his side. He was 84 years old. Born on December 9, 1932, he was the son of the late James & Nicolette (Caramenico) Sambrick.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy and a retired laborer from the Pennsylvan­ia American Water Company. Some knew him as Lou, others as “Som,” but he is best known as Dad by his children and Pop by his grandchild­ren and greatchild­ren. He was a simple, jeans and T-shirt man who loved simple things like playing cards and bocce and watching the History, TMC and AMC channels. His favorite way to start the day was to go to Lou’s Steak Shop, where he was known to have opinions and debates about everything and anything and if he was lucky enough, hit the daily number which he played faithfully. He is now reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife, Carol, who passed away in January 2012, and his beautiful daughter, Barbara, who passed away in November 2011. He is also preceded in death by three brothers, James, Robert and Joseph and three sisters, Dorothy, Madeline and Barbara.

Lou is survived by his son, Michael; daughters Nikki (John) and Donna; grandchild­ren, Shana (Kyle) and Samantha; great-grandchild­ren, Eric, Relayna, Kyleah, Kyana; brothers , Steven, Richard and Vincent; sisters, Rose and Joan; son-inlaw, Brett; and many nieces and nephews. Family & friends are invited to call on Monday, October 23, 2017 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm at the Caramenico Funeral Home, 403 E. Main Street, Norristown, PA. Burial will be held privately at the convenienc­e of the family.
