Robert M. Conner of Norristown

Robert M. Conner of Norristown passed away peacefully at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery on October 20, 2017 at age 89. Born April 4, 1928 in Kennett Square, PA, Bob was the son of the late Evelyn (Smedley) and George L. Conner.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1946, serving in Germany with the Occupation Forces for 3 ½ years. During that time he was chosen to be a court room guard at the Nuremburg War Crimes Trials. He was retired from Verizon.

In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his brother George H. and his sister-in-law Lois (Law) Conner.

Bob is survived by his wife of 64 years, Elizabeth (Allebach) and two children Mary Beth Conner and Robert J. Conner (Kathie). He was the doting grandfather of Ryan and Paige.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at St. Patrick Church, 714 DeKalb St., Norristown on Tuesday, October 24th from 8:309:45 AM followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Entombment will be at St. Patrick Mausoleum.
