Salvatore Paschall of Norristown

Salvatore Paschall, 99, of Norristown passed away peacefully on Monday, October 23, 2017 at the Einstein Medical Center Montgomery surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 16, 1918 in Bridgeport he was the son of the late D. Thomas & Josephine D’Amore Paschall, and the loving husband to Lena (Fabrizio) Paschall.

Salvatore attended Norristown High School and graduated in the Class of 1937. After graduation, he enlisted in the military and served three years in the Army during World War II, with 18 months in Europe as part of the 315th infantry 79th Division. He also served two years in Korea as part of the 195th ordinance unit. Salvatore was very proud of his military background and served his country with honor. He later became a member of the Knights of Columbus as well as the Catholic War Veterans. Salvatore was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and dear friend to all and he will be missed by many.

In addition to his loving wife, Salvatore is survived by his one daughter, Lynn (John) Rakowski; two grandchildren, Jeanne (Joe) Mondschean, and John (Emily) Rakowski; six great-grandchildren, Joe, Justin, and Jake Mondschean, & Eli, Sammy, and Micah Rakowski. Salvatore is also survived by many nieces and nephews for whom he cared dearly.

In addition to his parents, Salvatore was preceded in death by his two brothers, Albert and Charles Paschall; and one sister, Mary Cicala.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, October 30, 2017 from 9:00 am - 9:50 am at the St. Patrick’s Church, 714 DeKalb St. Norristown PA. 19401. Mass will follow the viewing at 10:00 am. Burial will take place in the St. Augustine’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions or Mass cards can be made to the St. Patrick Church, 714 DeKalb St., Norristown PA. 19401.
