Carl J. Lundy, Sr. of East Norriton, passed away peacefully on Monday November 13, 2017, with his family by his side. He was 90 years old. Born January 22, 1927 in Philadelph­ia, he was the son of the late Carl H. and Mary (nee Master) Lundy and the beloved husband of Joan (nee Carr) Lundy.

Carl served in World War II as a staff sergeant in the Army Air Forces. He worked as an electrical engineer in the General Electric space program. As an active member of St. Titus Parish, he was a member of the Athletic Club (STAC), served as a president of the Senior Citizens group and a founding member of the Knights of Columbus, serving as a fourth degree Knight and member of the color corps. Carl traveled extensivel­y with his wife, Joan, and enjoyed painting, playing the banjo, and spending time and traveling with his grandchild­ren.

In addition to his wife Joan, Carl is survived by his two daughters, Karen Saltmer (Dalton) and Kelly Anne Lundy; three grandchild­ren, Amanda (David), Sara (Jason) and Joshua (Colleen); and three great grandchild­ren, Lila, David, and Samuel. He was preceded in death by his son, Carl J. Lundy Jr.; his brother, Albert T. Lundy; and two sisters, Mary Rita McNellis and Sarah Vera Wizorek.

Relatives and friends are invited to share in Carl’s Life Celebratio­n on Monday November 20, from 10 to 10:50 AM at St. Titus Church 3006 Keenwood Rd., East Norriton followed by his Funeral Mass at 11 AM. Interment will be at Washington’s Crossing National Cemetery. Family services are by BoydHorrox-Givnish of East Norriton 610-277-7000. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carl’s name can be made to The Knights of Columbus c/o St. Titus Church at the above address.
