Sullivan DePetrillo of Norristown

Sullivan “Sal” DePetrillo , 83, of Norristown passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2017, surrounded by his loving family at Towne Manor West, Norristown, Pennsylvania. Born April 10, 1934 in Norristown, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Salvatore & Julia (Signoravich) DePetrillo, and loving husband of Marie (Fragale) DePetrillo.

Sal attended Norristown High School and would go on to proudly serve his county by enlisting in the Army and serving in the Korean War. Upon his return home Sal worked for many years for the Norristown Borough as a laborer, where he would retire from. In his spare time you could find him working at Angelo’s Gas Station or at Lou’s Steak Shop, where he was known and loved by many. Sal was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to all and he will be missed by many.

In addition to his loving wife, Sal is survived by his two children, Michele Breslin, and Paul (Kristi) DePetrillo; four grandchildren, Lauren & Larissa Breslin and Rylee & Steele DePetrillo; one greatgrandchild, Giavonna Rickert; and three sisters, Anna Zielinski, Dolores Claypoole and Sonia DeBiase. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews & greatnieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Sal was preceded in death by his siblings, Michael “Frank Sinatra” DePetrillo, Joseph “Honey” DePetrillo, Richard DePetrillo, Rose Tadeo, Jean Trump, and Rita Storti.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, from 10:00 am 11:00 am, at the Holy Saviour Church, 407 E Main St., Ntn., Pennsylvania. A Memorial Mass will take place following the visitation at 11:00 am at the church. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
