Sunday, Nov. 19: The Montgomery County Concert Band wraps up the 23rd season at 3 pm at the Souderton Area High School, for a trip on Oceans, Rivers, and Seas. Selections include “Manhattan Beach,” “The Tall Ship,” “The Winds of Poseidon,” “The Isle of Calypso,” “The Pirates of the Caribbean,” “Dead Man’s Chest,” “Spoon River” and “Water is Wide,” featuring soprano soloist Teresa Washam. The band is directed by Charles Neidhardt, former Music Department Chairperson for the Methacton School District, assisted by Ryan Pongras, Elementary Music Educator in the Souderton School District, and Bret Mascaro, former Music Educator at Methacton. The featured soloist, Teresa Washam, is the Choir Director at Souderton Area High School and has been teaching music for 33 years. At the high school she conducts 4 choirs and advises student run a cappella groups. The concert is free and open to the public and the facility is handicap accessible. Free will donations will be accepted. The Band is also collecting canned goods to benefit Manna on Main Street, so please bring a non-perishable food item to donate. PROFESSIONAL MUSICIAN IVAN STILES Tuesday, Nov. 21: Professional musician Ivan Stiles, autoharp and more, will entertain the Afternoon Music Club of Phoenixville on Tuesday, November 21, at 1:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Phoenixville, 865 S. Main Street, Phoenixville. The club, which has been in continuous operation since 1945, welcomes guests for a nominal donation for the concert at the door and invites all to refreshments after the program and brief meeting.
