Anthony Michael Vernacchio of Royersford passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Anthony was born in Norristown, PA on October 2, 1941 to the late Michael and Josephine Vernacchio (nee Milito).

Anthony was the devoted husband of 55 years to Roseanne (nee Monastero), beloved father to Donna Roberto (David), Michael Vernacchio, Sharon Sheehan (Mike Harney), and Suzanne Wehrli (Marc) and grandfathe­r to 10 grandchild­ren. Anthony is also survived by his brother, Michael Vernacchio (Carol) and his sister, Theresa Palaia (Joseph) and was a dear friend to many. He will be deeply missed by all.

Anthony exemplifie­d dedication and hard work. He was employed by Genuardi’s Super Markets for over 40 years. Upon retirement from Genuardi’s, he worked for Tri County Transit until his official retirement in September 2016. of BF Goodrich Fire Brigade. He was an avid bowler, enjoyed watching the Reading Phillies and ice hockey, and loved Star Trek. John worked for Visteon, the former Ford Electronic­s, in Lansdale and BF Goodrich Tire Plant in Oaks.

Surviving with his wife of 38 years is daughter Shannon Kardick, fiancée of Andrew Davidson; sister Mary A. Kardick (widow of James Manion); and feline children Princess and Poochie.

A memorial service will be Saturday, Nov. 25, 4PM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Ltd., 329 N. Lewis Road, Royers-

Anthony will be warmly remembered for his kind and generous heart and his selfless ways. He was a devoted Philadelph­ia Eagles and Phillies fan and enjoyed watching the games with his family. He loved his summer vacations with his family in Sea Isle City and also enjoyed going to the casinos.
