Frank B. Caparo, 91, of Melbourne, FL, formerly of Conshohock­en, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 18, 2017. Born June 28, 1926, in Norristown, PA he was the son of the late Calegero & Mary (Tuturice) Caparo, and loving husband of the late Theresa “Terry”(Gambone) Caparo.

Frank graduated Norristown High School, and at age 19 enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps serving his country during WWII. He achieved the rank of Sergeant as a Remote Control Turret Mechanic Gunner. Upon returning home he attended Temple University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Accounting. Frank worked in sales before spending most of his adult life as an electricia­n and owner of the Soft Spray Car Wash in Norristown. Most people are unaware, but Frank was a member of Mensa, a high IQ society for people who have scored at or above the 98th percentile on a standardiz­ed IQ test.

Frank was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfathe­r, uncle, and friend. Anyone who knew Frank would know that his grandchild­ren were his greatest joy. And if you needed help with anything or you needed something fixed, all you needed was to call and he would be there. Frank is survived by his daughter, Theresa Caparo; two grandchild­ren, Christine and Eric Voigtlande­r; a brother, Harry Caparo, Sr., a sister, Angela Caracausa and two sister-in- laws, Lucy Caparo and Jane Hanson. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by wife Theresa and his siblings, Joseph Caparo and Lillian Piacitelli.

Family and friends are invited to his Memorial Service on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 516 Fayette Street, Conshohock­en, PA 19428. Visitation will be from 9:3010:30 a.m. Interment will be private at Saint Patrick’s Cemetery in Norristown.
