Teresa DePietro of Conshohocken

Teresa “Nella” DePietro, 88, of Conshohocken, died on December 3, 2017 at her daughter’s home. She was the beloved wife of the late M. David DePietro. She was born in Rome, Italy on July 4, 1929 to the late Adam and Nicoletta (DiPaolo) DeCurtis.

She attended schools in Italy. Nella was employed as a seamstress working locally for Gordon’s of Philadelphia and Suskind’s. She was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and greatgrandmother who enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her family. She was a member of the former SS. Cosmas and Damian Church where she was involved with St. Rita’s Sodality and other organizations. Nella also was involved with various local civic organizations including the Columbus Civic Association.

She is survived by her 4 children John Adam DiPietro, Esq. and Richard Carbonaro of East Norriton, Teresa Tuturice and Russell of Norristown, Marisa Colucci and Bruno of Toronto, Canada, Caroline Conboy and Daniel of Plymouth Meeting, 7 grandchildren Marisa, David, Adam, Andria, Danielle, Ashlie, Andrew, 2 great-grandchildren Chase and Mia, and also many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a granddaughter Melissa Ashlie Tuturice, and 3 siblings Maria Landi, Antonio DeCurtis, and Lucy Cianci.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Holy Saviour Church, 407 E. Main St., Norristown, PA. The Viewing will be Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m.-11:15 a.m. at the Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 516 Fayette St., Conshohocken.
