Helen Patricia Reighn of Blue Bell

Helen Patricia Reighn (nee McGovern) of Blue Bell, passed away peacefully on Sunday December 3, 2017 at home with her family by her side. Born January 9, 1954, in Bryn Mawr, she was the daughter of Helen P. (nee Harkins) McGovern and the late George P. McGovern, Jr. She was the beloved wife of Charles D. Reighn with whom she shared 42 years of marriage.

Patty was a Medical Technologist in the Microbiology Department at Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelphia, PA for over 45 years, earning the respect and admiration of everyone she met, and was considered the “go-to” person on many things.

She was an avid gardener and loved growing orchids in her greenhouse. She was an animal lover, especially her five cats; Autumn, Artemis, Aloysius, Abby and Ziva.

In addition to her husband, Chuck, Patty is survived by her four sisters; Rose O’Brien (Kevin McNally), Mary Elizabeth McGovern, Megan McGovernPacifico (Butch) and Tara Tomeo (Lou), three nephews; Aidan, Daniel, Kevin, three nieces; Moira, Lauren, and Meaghan, and one great niece; Philippa, her father-in-law Charles W. Reighn and her brother-in-law Gary M. Reighn (Roberta).

All services will be private.
