Police seek armed robber
Suspect brandished a gun while stealing electronics at Walmart
WEST NORRITON » Police are asking for the public’s help in ascertaining the whereabouts of an armed man who robbed the Walmart at 650 S. Trooper Road Monday morning.
According to authorities, at approximately 10:45 a.m. the suspect loaded an HP Pavilion 24” computer and two JBL wireless speakers into his shopping cart, then stopped near a fire door and had a conversation on his cellphone.
An associate reportedly grabbed the cart and told the suspect he had to pay for the merchandise in the electronics department when he pulled a silver and black semi-automatic pistol from his right hip area and pointed it at the employee.
He then pushed through the fire door with the cart and merchandise and ran
to a waiting gray Chevrolet, possibly a Malibu, with black wheels in the parking lot.
The vehicle was last seen traveling south on Trooper Road towards Route 422. Loss prevention personnel believe the suspect is the same man who recently robbed the store and committed a similar-type of theft at the Walmart in King of Prussia prior to this incident.
He is described as a clean-shaven, darkskinned black male between 27 and 37 years old, approximately 5-feet 10-inches tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a black Phillies cap with a white ‘P’ and a black hoodie. Anyone with information regarding the robbery or this suspect is urged to call Det. Charles Naber at 610-630-1701.
