Helen T. Ritrovato (nee Zonsa) of Norristown

Helen T. Ritrovato (nee Zonsa), of Norristown, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital. She was 92 years old. Helen was born in Phoenixville on May 4, 1925 to the late Michael and Victoria Zonsa and was the wife to the late Dr. Ralph A. Ritrovato, DDS who passed away in 2010. During WWII, Helen volunteered at Valley Forge Hospital, working as a registered nurse. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Norristown and in her free time, she enjoyed, cooking, traveling, and was a devoted homemaker and matriarch to her family who was instrumental in helping to raise her grandchildren.

Helen is survived by her five loving children, Dennis J. Ritrovato (Lizanne), Dr. Robert R. Ritrovato, (Jean), Ronald R. Ritrovato (Rose), David R. Ritrovato and Karen Ritrovato (Joseph Allucci). She is survived by 10 grandchildren, Joseph, Tyler, Scott, Shelby, Jessie, Ronald, Michelle, Anthony, Ryan and Robert, as well as five great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by all six of her siblings, Agnes, Adam, Joseph, Frank, Michael, and Sophie.

Relatives and friends are invited to Helen’s Life Celebration on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 600 Hamilton St., Norristown PA, 19401 from 9:30-10:15 a.m., followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery Mausoleum.
