James M. Blackmon of Spring Mount

James M. Blackmon, 64, a longtime resident of Spring Mount, PA, passed away peacefully, in the presence of loved ones on December 27, 2017 at Grand View Hospital.

Born April 2, 1953 in Brooklyn, NY, he was a son of the late James T. and Helen Frances (America) Blackmon. He was employed by Transicoil and then later by Clemens Markets.

Jimmy B spent many years playing baseball and softball. He was a NASCAR fan, an avid hunter and fisherman, and a collector of coins, Crayola and NASCAR memorabili­a. He enjoyed camping, the annual pig roast, card nights with the boys, and weekends at the races.

Surviving are two daughters, Shauna Blackmon of Boston, MA, and Courtney Blackmon and her partner, David, of Norristown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John S. Blackmon.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at 11AM on December 30, 2017 at the R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 3440 Skippack Pike at Cedars Road, Skippack, PA, where friends may call beginning at 10AM. Interment will be private.
