Vane G. Smith III of Voorhees, NJ
Vane G. Smith, III, of Voorhees, N.J. and formerly of Newark DE, passed away at his residence on December 20, 2017. He was 54 years old. Vane was born In Norristown, PA on April 9, 1963 to Vane G. Smith, Jr. and Dorothy J. (nee McGuigan) Smith.
He was a graduate of Newark High School in Newark, DE, and after graduating high school, he earned his bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety from Millersville University. Vane enjoyed playing soccer and was a goal tender in high school, playing on the varsity team as well as at Millersville University on the varsity team as a goal tender for three years. Vane worked as a senior asbestos analyst for International Asbestos Testing Laboratories. In addition to his parents, Vane is survived by his brothers, Stephen A. Smith (Dawn) and Douglas R. Smith, as well as his nieces, Faith Lee Smith, Skyler Jobes, Madison Jobes, and Monica Little.
Relatives and friends are invited to Vane’s Life Celebration on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 506 Haws Ave. Norristown PA, 19401 followed by his memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Vane’s name may be made to the church at the above address.
