Brooke Shields to pitch line at QVC in West Goshen

WEST GOSHEN » Now 52, Brooke Shields has been in the public spotlight for nearly her entire life.

From early roles in films like “Blue Lagoon” and “Pretty Baby” to the lead in the “Suddenly Susan” sitcom with memorable modeling stints for Calvin Klein Jeans, the 6-foot Shields is comfortabl­e in front of a camera.

Next month, the camera Shields will be in front of is at QVC’s Studio Park, where she will introduce her own line of clothing through the electronic retail giant.

“After years of being dressed by profession­als, I walked into my closet one day and realized I had lost sight of my own personal style,” Shields said in announcing the partnershi­p. “I am incredibly passionate about this collection because I have created pieces that are not only chic, but that take the guess-work out of getting ready each morning. I can’t wait to share this line with the QVC customer, and I truly hope it helps women look and feel their best each day.”

QVC said the actress-model will present select items from the Brooke Shields Timeless collection on Thursday, Feb. 15, at 7 p.m., with the full collection launching on Wednesday, March 14, at 11 p.m.

The line features an assortment “of sophistica­ted separates, including classic button-ups, flowy blouses, tailored bottoms, flirty skirts, colorful scarves and contempora­ry fashion jewelry, it has never been easier to mix and match like a pro, creating personaliz­ed looks.”

Shields joins a long line of celebritie­s who have used QVC to pitch their wares, from Joan Rivers and Sophia Loren to Martha Stewart, the Scott Brothers, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Rachael Ray and Lisa Rinna.

QVC expects Shields to be as well received as those stars by its millions of shoppers.
