Margaret Mary Carfagno

Margaret Mary Carfagno, age 89, a loving mother and grandmother who cherished her family, and was a resident of Bickford Senior Living in Spotsylvania, VA since October, 2017, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2018. Prior to moving to Virginia, she lived in Harleysville, PA, since August, 1955. Mrs. Carfagno was born in Swedesburg, PA and was the daughter of the late Michael Gallant and the late Susan Komarc Gallant. She is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Richard J. Carfagno, her loving children, Richard M. (Judy) Carfagno of Springfield, VA, Kenneth J. (Jane) Carfagno of Houston, TX and Diane (Gary) Battistella of Spotsylvania, VA, as well as her beloved grandchildren, Amy Carfagno of Springfield VA and Kerry (Mike) Farrell of Oklahoma City, OK. Sadly, she was predeceased by her brother John Gallant on March 22, 2004 and an infant sister.

Mrs. Carfagno was a graduate of Upper Merion High School, Class of 1946 and went on to become a telephone operator with the Bell Telephone System in Norristown, in the late 1940’s. She was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a long-time member of St. Mary R.C. Church, 40 Spring Mount Rd., Schwenksville, PA, 19473, where her viewing will be held on Saturday, January 27, from 10 a.m. until her Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA.
