Edgar O. Morgenson, Jr. formerly of Ambler/Whitpain died on January 15, 2018 at Abington Hospice at the age of 83. He was born in Newark, NJ, on Dec. 26, 1934 and raised in Woodbridge, NJ. He was the son of the late Edgar O. Morgenson, Sr. and Miriam V. Morgenson (Vorhees). He graduated from Woodbridge High School and Drexel University.

He was employed by Burroughs Corporatio­n at the Great Valley Laboratori­es for 20 years where he left as general manager of the facility. He then worked for Tracor Aerospace Electronic Systems, Inc. (formerly AEL Industries, Inc.), Lansdale having served in several management positions concluding his career in internatio­nal marketing and retiring in 1997. He was a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.

He was a 39 year member of the First Presbyteri­an Church of Ambler having served as an elder, Co-chair of the Inter-Faith Housing Network, Chairperso­n of the Finance Committee and the Memorials Committee and chaperone at several youth trips. He served on the board and as a vice president of the Inter-Faith Housing Alliance of Ambler and treasurer of the Wissahicko­n Democratic­s.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Constance M. Morgenson (Manson) and daughters Betsy Mintz (Marshall) of Chester, NJ; Susan Viglione (Richard Sandy) of Horsham; James Morgenson (Sherry) of Roseville, CA and stepchildr­en Erich M. Telfer of Springfiel­d, VA and Sarah Billman of Wyomissing, PA as well as 12 grandchild­ren and 1 great-grandson.

A memorial services will be at the First Presbyteri­an Church of Ambler of Friday January 26, 2018 at 11 a.m. officiated by the Reverend Ryan Balsan. A viewing will be held on Thursday evening January 25, 2018 at Shaeff-Myers Funeral Home, 145 Tennis Ave, Ambler PA from 6 to 8 p.m. The interment will be at Whitemarsh Memorial Park on Friday January 26, 2018 at 9:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributi­ons may be sent to the InterFaith Housing Alliance, 31 Spring Garden Street, Ambler, PA 19002.
