Bealer scores 20, Indians hand Drakes 1st loss

Megan Bealer made five 3-pointers in scoring a game-high 20 points as Souderton girls basketball team ended Jenkintown’s unbeaten run and won its eighth straight Wednesday with a 57-35 victory.

Megan Walbrandt had 14 points while Alana Cardona added 13 for the Indians (14-2, 6-1 SOL Continenta­l).

Caroline Arena paced the Drakes (14-1, 7-0 BAL Constituti­on) with nine points. for Wissahicko­n (11-6, 6-3 SOL American), which lost its second straight. Rocco DeSimone (220), Joseph Marino (113) and John Palmer (138) also claimed ins for the Cardinals.

Springfiel­d had pinfall wins from Edward Goldsmith (285), John Quigg (132) and Mitchell McCann (160).
