Harriet H. Flannery, 97, of Norristown

Harriet H. Flannery (nee Mervine) of Norristown passed away peacefully at her home with her loving family by her side on March 13, 2018 at age 97. She was welcomed into heaven by her loving husband of 55 years, James Joseph Flannery. She was born on September 16, 1920 in Centralia, PA, to the late Lamar and Jessie (nee Bowers) Mervine.

Harriet was the loving mother of Nancy Hewitt (Carey), James L. (Julia), Becky Cheri (Jim), Debbie Stonier, devoted grandmother of 14, great grandmother to 26, great-great grandmother of 5, and friend to many. She will be deeply missed.

Harriet will be remembered for her lifetime devotion to God, teaching Sunday school at Hope Community Church, being an active committee woman for the West Norriton Republican Committee, but above all her love and dedication for her family.

Relatives and friends are invited to Harriet’s Life Celebration on Tuesday March 20 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Boyd Horrox Givnish Life Celebration Home of East Norriton, 200 West Germantown Pike and again on Wednesday March 21 from 11 AM to 12 PM at Hope Community Church of King of Prussia, 150 E Beidler Rd. with her Funeral Service to immediately follow. Interment to follow at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens.
