County Home Show scheduled for Monday
COATESVILLE » Despite this week’s nor’easter that left upwards of a foot of snow across the region, it really is spring. For many — the change of seasons signals that it’s time to start thinking about projects to spruce up their homes or businesses.
The Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce has the perfect event to help homeowners get inspired. The chamber’s second Chester County Home Show is scheduled for Monday, March 26 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Wagontown Banquet Hall in Coatesville.
“The event is a great opportunity to talk with experts about potential projects,” said Donna Siter, executive director of the Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce.
Last year was the first time the chamber sponsored The Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce will host its second Home Show Monday. the event, which featured about 40 vendors and attracted an estimated 300 attendees, according to Siter.
“Since our chamber is 370 members — a lot of them small business owners — it was a great chance to showcase them,” she said, adding that the inaugural event exceeded the chamber’s expectations.
“We were happy, and the vendors were happy as well. We got lots of reviews back that they increased their customer base because of the Home Show,” she said, adding that the organization is looking to increase attendance this year.
Registration for exhibitors was still being accepted Thursday. Siter said she expects the final number of exhibitors to be between 40 and 50.
Among the list of exhibitors are: electricians, plumbers, home repair experts, furniture makers, cabinet makers, kitchen experts, interior designers, window experts and HVAC experts.
The chamber wanted to start its own Home Show, according to Siter, to showcase its membership.
“A lot of companies are small can’t get to normal networking events that the chamber holds. The Home Show is a chance for them to meet each other and meet the public. And it gives the public a chance to meet chamber members and find out about us,” she said, adding that the Home Show allows the exhibitors to expand their businesses, “learning from others through networking and meeting new customers.”
The Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2016.
Wagontown Banquet Hall is located at 412 West Kings Highway in Coatesville.
