a 2002 Graduate of Millersville University with a major in Communications and minored in Business Management.
Whigham is a 1996 graduate who excelled on the track earning 8 varsity letters in indoor track (4) and track and field (4).
He was a two-time state champion and District 1 champion, three-timeAllAmerican, eight-time AllState, four-time All-District.
As a Junior, Whigham ran to a 2nd Place finish in the 200m (21.63), a 3rd Place in the 4x100m relay (42.66), and 5th place in the long jump (22– 5), with the team finishing in 4th place overall.
During his senior year, in the 1996 Indoor Track Championship Meet, Whigham won the gold medal in the long jump with a jump of 23ft – 2inches, he also brought home two silver medals in the 60m & 200m.
Later that spring during the Outdoor Track & Field District 1 Class AAA Championship Meet, Whigham had a day, winning two gold medals in the 100m (10.74) and 200m with a meet record time of 21.37 seconds, silver medal in the long jump (21 – 10 3/4), and placed 6th in the 4x100m relay (43.51).
His performance at Districts made him one of the favorites at the Outdoor Track & Field Class AAA State Championship Meet. Whigham was able to retain his gold medal in the long jump with a personal record of 23 ft 6 inches and received two bronze medals in the 100m with a time of 10.65 seconds and the 200m with a time of 21.34 seconds. His performances helped the team finish 3rd overall in the Class AAA Championship Meet.
In addition to the postseason accomplishments, Whigham was a five-time Suburban One League Conference Champion (1996 – 100m, 200m, 400m, Long Jump, 1995 – 100m).
He also competed at the National level, in the 1996 USATF Junior Nationals he placed 6th in the 200m (21.57) and in 1995 at the National HS Track & Field Championship he placed 4th with his 4x100m Relay Team.
Whigham was an eight-time Suburban One League All-Conference with meet records in 100m (10.3), 200m (21.2), long jump (22 –5) and still retains five UMAHS records in the 100m (10.3 sec), 200m (21.2), 400m (49.69), 4x100m relay (42.66 sec), and sprint medley relay (3.38.7 sec).
Whigham earned a scholarship to Villanova University and is ranked as one of the school’s top 5 alltime sprinters in the 100m (10.40).
