NASD ART GALLERY NIGHT Thursday, April 5: Norristown area students display their fabulous art creations from 6 p.m. to 7:30 in the Children’s Department of the Montgomery CountyNorristown Public Library, 1001 Powell Street Norristown, PA 19401. MONTCO COMIC FEST Saturday, April 7: Fun for comic fans of all ages from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library, 1001 Powell Street Norristown, PA 19401. Special activities for kids include: Read to a Superhero Therapy Dog from 11-1, Writing a Great Comic workshop at 11:00, and Creative Cartooning at 1:00, plus crafts, special guests, and other fun activities. Pennsylvania One Book, Every Young Child is an established program that highlights the importance of

– Children will learn about their five senses during this program at Norristown Farm Park. They and their adult chaperones will explore the natural world with particular emphasis on using each sense to learn about the surrounding woods and fields. There will be games and activities that are known to improve sensory skills. Learn how animals use their senses to find food and survive in the wild. Explore the spring season with the park naturalist on a sensory walk. This program is appropriate for children ages three and older with an adult. DAVID FRIDAY MEMORIAL NIGHT Saturday, April 14: Friends and family invite everyone to celebrate the life of David Friday beginning at 7 p.m. at Screwballs, 216 W. Beidler Road, King of Prussia. All proceeds benefit the David Friday Memorial Scholarship Funds, and checks should be made out to Pope John Paul II High school. Organizers ask that attendees wear green and gold in memory of David Friday. Donations will be accepted at the door. The King of Prussia Rotary Club is pleased to announce that tickets for Taste of the Suburbs 2018 are on sale online at kingofprussiarotary.org. This year’s event will showcase food and drink specialties from over 30 restaurants, wineries and micro- breweries. Many of King of Prussia’s newest restaurants will be participating for the first time. Tickets cost $40 on line or $50 at the door. The event runs from 6:30 PM to 9 PM Sunday April 15 at the King of Prussia Mall. All ticket proceeds go to the Club’s charitable foundation that supports scholarships, first responders and local service organizations that help meet community needs. This is a completely free running club that is open to all community members in and around the Norristown area. We run together, share training ideas and accomplishments. Non-residents will be considered if attending a full-time, horticulture-related program at an academic institution in the above Pennsylvania counties. Horticulture-related fields may include: Agriculture Education, Agronomy, Botany, Conservation, Environmental Concerns, Floriculture, Horticulture, Land Management, Landscape Architecture, and Plant Pathology.
