Cops: Man points gut at motorist in Bridgeport
well as witnesses who said the assailant knocked on the victim’s door, and when she answered, grabbed her by the hair and started assaulting her. The victim told police she tried to fight back and witnesses attempted to get the assailant off of her, but the suspect did not relent until someone threatened to call police. Officers located the suspect at a nearby residence and transported her to the Bridgeport Police Department. The suspect reportedly admitted to using “wet” a street name for liquid PCP, prior to the incident.

He then allegedly grabbed her by the neck and hair and pushed her backwards, causing her to strike her head on the sidewalk. She was later located at a bus stop along First Avenue and was transported to Paoli Memorial Hospital for treatment of swelling to the back of her head.
Hit-and-run
UPPER MERION » On March 5, a criminal complaint was filed in District Court against a man suspected of a hit-and-run that left another motorist injured in the 1200 block of E. DeKalb Pike Feb. 18. Police arrived at the scene at approximately 11:25 p.m. to find two vehicles with significant damage in the intersection of E. DeKalb Pike and DeKalb Street. Several open containers of alcohol were found in the striking vehicle — a silver pickup truck which had no license plate. Using the truck’s VIN number police determined the owner did not have a valid driver’s license. Officers located him at his parent’s house and Norristown and took him into custody. The suspect reportedly admitted to consuming alcohol prior to the incident and said he ditched his license plate and ran after the collision because he was scared. The victim suffered a broken femur.
Wife allegedly assaults husband
PLYMOUTH » On March 20 at 7:50 p.m police were called to the 2000 block of Butler Pike for a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival police were met by who said he was holding his cat, when his wife punched him in face, causing him to have a bloody nose and lip. Police spoke with the man’s wife, who admitted to punching him in the face because she thought he was going to harm the cat for scratching him. The woman was arrested on a charge of simple assault.
Brawl at hotel
PLYMOUTH » A man is facing charges of simple assault after allegedly punching another man several times inside the Hampton Inn, 2055 Chemical Road, March 19. Police arrived around 10:30 p.m. to find the suspect standing over the victim who had a deep laceration over his right eye. The suspect told police the men had been drinking when they got into and argument over money. He reportedly admitted to striking the victim several times but said the victim struck him first and knocked out one of his teeth.
Woman accused of domestic violence
PLYMOUTH » At 10:28 p.m. police responded to the 100 block of Ashley Way for a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival officers spoke with a husband and wife who were having a verbal argument about the misplacement of prescription medication the husband reportedly hid from their son who had recently been dog sitting for a couple. The encounter ended without incident but police were called back to the residence about an hour later for a domestic incident in progress. Upon arrival police encountered the husband bleeding from the bridge of his nose. He reportedly told police he was unsure of how he got injured but said his wife was repeatedly pushing him during an altercation and may have struck him. Officers observed dried blood on the wife’s hand and took her into custody on suspicion of assault.
