Cornelius Bolger, 77, of North Coventry
Cornelius “Neil” Bolger, 77, of North Coventry, formerly of Bridgeport, husband of Bonnie Fay (Hartman) Bolger, passed away Thursday March 29, 2018 at his residence.
Born in Norristown, he was the son of the late John and Rose (McGee) Bolger.
Neil loved to travel and fish. He worked as a bartender and locksmith as side jobs and full time for 380 IBEW Electrical Union Collegeville. From the age of 14, he was an avid fireman in Upper Merion Twp.
Surviving along with his wife are two sons Greg Bolger (Barb), and Cornelius Bolger, Jr.; five grandchildren Kayla, Justin, Jason, Marissa, and Magan Bolger; one greatgrandchild Amara Bolger; one sister Molly Trainer; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with his parents, Neil was predeceased by his brothers John and Bob Bolger, and his sister Joan Judd.
A funeral service will be held Thursday April 5, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown. Burial will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery, Bridgeport. Visitation will be held Thursday from 9:00-10:45 AM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Neil’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011.
