Volunteers wanted for Earth Day project

Join park staff in an animal habitat restoratio­n project. Ranger Mike Seasholtz will lead an effort to remove invasive plants from a section of the park. Some native species will be planted. Individual­s, families, and organized groups are welcome to attend. Bring work gloves. Loppers, pruning shears, and trowels are helpful if you have them. Learn to identify native and non-native plant species. Meet at the park office.

Since this is the time of the year for Earth Day projects, and why should kids be left out? It is never too early to start learning about ways to help our earth. Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Join the park naturalist in an effort to make Norristown Farm Park more beautiful. Make an Earth Day craft after completion of the project. Meet at the pavilions.
