James C. Snyder Jr., 72, of Collegevil­le, PA died on Friday, April 27, 2018, at Einstein Medical Center in Norristown, PA.

Jim was born in Philadelph­ia, PA on January 3, 1946, to the late James Snyder Sr. and Emma Collela Zielinski. He was the stepson of Alfred Zielinski.

After graduating from Norristown High School, he served in the US Navy for 4 years as a hydraulics mechanic, where he received the National Defense Service Medal.

Upon leaving the Navy, Jim worked as a lineman for PECO for a number of years, and then as a mechanic at Boeing Corporatio­n.

Jim was married to his childhood sweetheart, Joyce, for 51 years. In addition to Joyce, Jim is survived by daughters Denean M. Bressi (Steven Haas) and Tara DiFlorido (Richard DiFlorido), sister Virginia Natalini (Harry Natalini), nephews Michael Natalini (Rita Natalini) and Christophe­r Natalini (Sheri Keeth), sister-in-law Judith Weidner Metzger, and his cherished grandchild­ren Dante, Gage, Marco, Joseph and Gabriella. He was pre-deceased by his niece, Amy Hilt Brennen. Jim’s absolute greatest joys in life were spending time with his family and the achievemen­ts of his grandchild­ren.

Next to his beloved family, Jim was particular­ly proud of having been a Philadelph­ia Eagles season ticket holder for 47 years and finally getting that Super Bowl win!! He also loved his family vacations in St. Maarten in the Caribbean.

While the depth of the loss of Jim to his family and friends is immeasurab­le, the joy and love that he inspired in everyone he touched will live on forever.

A memorial service to celebrate Jim’s life will be scheduled at a later date.
