Kathleen R. Yocom

Kathleen R. “Kitty” (Thompson) Yocom, 84, wife of the late Philip A. Yocom, died Monday, May 14, 2018, at Twin Pines Health Care Center, West Grove. She was a former resident of Astor St., Norristown.

Mrs. Yocom was born on January 18, 1934, in Lower Providence Twp. She was a daughter of the late Sydney and Helen (Cameron) Thompson.

Before retiring, Mrs. Yocom was a secretary in the business office of Norristown Area School District. She was a member of Lower Providence Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Yocom is survived by her children, Linda Frank and her fiancé, Kevin Prewitt, Rising Sun, MD, and Steven Yocom, Lower Providence Twp.; her grandchildren, Erika, Steven, and Tyler; and her sister, Helen, wife of the late Frank Andrews, Lower Providence Twp. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Robert Thompson, Melvin Thompson, Mildred Keyser, and Richard Thompson.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, at Lower Providence Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Samuel J. Seymour, Pastoral Associate, officiating. Burial will be in Limerick Garden Of Memories, Limerick Twp. Friends may call from 10:00 to 10:45 AM, Friday, at church.
