Grace M. Stauffer, formerly of Blue Bell

Grace M. Stauffer (nee Matozzo) formerly of Blue Bell, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Tuesday May 22, 2018. She was 85 years old. Born October 23, 1932 in Port Kennedy, PA, she was the daughter of the late Francesco and Mary (Stagliano) Matozzo and the beloved wife of the late Richard F. Stauffer with whom she shared 58 years of marriage.

Grace had been a resident of the Peter Becker Community in Harleysville for the last three years.

Grace graduated Norristown Area High School and also received her Cosmetology license. She worked as a beautician in Wayne and Norristown salons for many years. Her home was always open and she enjoyed hosting her family and friends for holidays, family reunions, bridal and baby showers and neighborhood gatherings. She enjoyed traveling and attending sporting events with her husband. Grace cherished spending time with her family at the Jersey shore.

She was an active member of St. Helena’s Church for many years, serving on the Hospitality committee. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, neighbor and friend.

Grace is survived by her four children; Larry Stauffer (Cindy), Karla Nicholas (Joseph), Nancy Capron, and Donna Swartz (Christopher), eight grandchildren; Jonathan, Emily, Christine, Ryan, Megan, Allyson, Lauren and Kevin, and two sisters Ann Leahan and Theresa Dunn (Jack). She was preceded in death by three brothers; Joseph, Theodore, and Francis Matozzo, and two sisters; Angeline Picariello and Marian Baines.

Relatives and friends are invited to share in Grace’s Life Celebration on Thursday May 31, from 9:00 to 10:50 AM at St. Helena’s Church 1489 Dekalb Pike Blue Bell, PA. Her Funeral Mass will begin at 11 AM at the church. Inurnment will be at St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont. Family arrangements are by Boyd-Horrox-Givnish of East Norriton, 610-2777000.
