Some figures are larger than life. Their size doesn’t matter or their actual physical presence.

Plymouth Township Police Officer Brad Fox, who was killed in the line of duty on Sept. 13, 2012, will always be larger than life in the hearts and minds of family, friends, law enforcement and the community. He made the ultimate sacrifice on the eve of his 35th birthday when he was responding to a call.

“Brad and I spent 8 years together before he made the ultimate sacrifice. I can honestly say it was the best 8 years I could have asked for. He was not only my husband, but my absolute best friend, soul mate and most importantly my hero,” said Fox’s wife Lindsay, on OfficerBradFox.com. At the time of his death, Fox had a daughter, Kadence, and Lindsay was expecting a son (Brad Jr.).

The community has responded

in many ways to honor his memory and show support to his family with events such as fellow officers participating in the Police Unity Tour in his memory, the Brad Fox Memorial, and the Officer Brad Fox 5K.

On June 2nd, Fox’s memory and his fellow officers will be honored in a different way by an iconic brand.

“Heroes in Blue” consisting of members of the Plymouth Township Police Department will be visiting Legoland Discovery Center Philadelphia at the Plymouth Meeting Mall to help kick-off the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Police Minifigure. “It is important for us to give back and obviously with the Police Minifigure it made a lot of sense,” said General Manager Michael Taylor. “We appreciate their service and are looking forward to having their families.”

“Heroes In Blue” and their families will be at the Center on June 2nd from 1011 a.m. Families are invited to meet the local heroes at 11 a.m. The Minifigure event weekends will take place on weekends of June 2-3, 9-10, 16-17, and 23-24.

Taylor says the minifigure is the best-selling item at Legoland Discovery Center Philadelphia. Minifigure trading, wildly popular in Lego culture and at the Center, will allow guests to trade with staff to receive limited edition 40th Birthday series on certain days while supplies last.
