Frederick W. Nowark Jr., formerly of Skippack

Frederick W. Nowark Jr., 94, husband of the late Patti L. (Wagner) Nowark, died Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at his Frederick, MD, residence. He was a former resident of Skippack Twp.

Mr. Nowark was born on December 20, 1923, in Lewistown, and was the only child of the late Frederick Sr. and Donna R. (Speck) Nowark. He was a Lewistown High School graduate and served with the US Army during World War Two.

Before retiring in 1985, Mr. Nowark was a railroad engineer with the Pennsylvania Railroad and Conrail for 44 years. He was a member of Trinity Christian United Church Of Christ.

Mr. Nowark is survived by his children, Frederick W. “Rick” Nowark, III, with whom he resided, and Ann L., wife of Roy Press, Skippack; his grandchildren, Ryan Nowark, Courtney Lanehart, and Meghan, wife of James Pavlick; and his great-grandchildren, Derrick Nowark, Brianna Nowark, Devon Nowark, and Brody Freeman.

The funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Friday, at the Holcombe Funeral Home, Inc., 21 Main St., Trappe, with the Rev. Wanda Schwandt, Interim Pastor, Trinity Christian United Church Of Christ, officiating. Friends may call from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, Friday, at the funeral home. Burial will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
