Melissa A. Stevens of Plymouth Meeting

Melissa A. Stevens (nee Santangelo) of Plymouth Meeting, passed away peacefully on Monday June 25, 2018, with her family by her side. She was 43 years old.

Born May 11, 1975 in Norristown, she was the daughter of Barbara (nee Byrnes) Santangelo and the late Stosh Santangelo.

She was the beloved wife and soul mate of Robert Stevens, with whom she shared 13 years of marriage.

Melissa was a graduate of Bishop Kenrick High School Class of 93, and a graduate of West Chester University Class of 97. While earning her Bachelor’s degree at West Chester, she was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority.

Melissa had an infectious smile that could light up a room, she enjoyed shopping for shoes and purses, and chatting with her girlfriends.

She bravely battled Huntington’s Disease for several years.

In addition to her mother Barbara and husband Robert, Melissa is survived by her sister Kristy Jones (Steven), her mother-inlaw Darlene Stevens, sister-in-law Gina Sotak (Stephen) and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was also preceded in death by her father-in-law Mark Stevens. She will be missed by her two precious English Bulldogs; Norman and Bella.

Relatives and friends are invited to share in Melissa’s Life Celebration on Friday June 29, from 6 to 9 PM and on Saturday from 9 to 10 AM at BoydHorrox-Givnish of East Norriton 200 West Germantown Pike, 610-2777000. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Norristown. Interment will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
