Terese Fennell Briggs, 79

Terese Fennell Briggs “Tess” passed away peacefully on June 29, 2018 at age 79. She spent the last weeks of her life surrounded by her family and friends.

Born July 17, 1938 in Norristown, Tess was the daughter of Anna (Nocton) and John Fennell. She resided in Jeffersonville with her beloved husband Joseph M. Briggs, Sr., who passed away in 2001.

Tess was the loving mother of Patricia Ceithaml (John Malone), Joseph M. Briggs, Jr. (Valerie), Kathleen Briggs, and Timothy Briggs (Robyn). She was the cherished grandmother of Patrick Ceithaml, Maureen, Terese, Emily, Jack, Alexandra and Morrison Briggs, and Savannah Bartsch. She is survived by her brothers Hilary Fennell and Andrew McGlincy, and was preceded in death by John, Michael, and Margaret Fennell.

Tess was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church and was a proud alumna of Bishop Kenrick’s first graduating class. Tess enjoyed bridge, travel, board games and she loved to laugh.

Relatives and friends are invited to Tess’s Life Celebration at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish of East Norriton, 200 W. Germantown Pike on Friday, July 6 th from 8-10 am. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 11 am followed by interment at St. Patrick Cemetery.
