Robert C. Rex of Franconia Twp.

Robert C. Rex, 82, passed away July 7, 2018 at his Franconia Twp., PA, residence. He and his wife, Virginia L. (Miller) Rex, would have observed their 45th wedding anniversary on October 5th of this year.

Born February 1, 1936 in Norristown, PA, he was a son of the late Edward W. and Emma S. (McCreary) Rex, and was a 1956 graduate of Upper Merion High School.

He was also a U. S. Air Force veteran.

Mr. Rex was employed as a crane operator for Philadelphia Electric. He had also worked for Norristown Water Co.

He enjoyed gardening and took great pride in taking care of his yard, house and flower beds.

He loved animals and sheltering stray cats. He also enjoyed birdwatching and time spent at the beach.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Renee Bartlett of Collegeville, PA; four stepchildren, Bridget Maida of Arnold, MD, Richard Friday, Jr. of Jacksonville, NC, Melissa Young of Schwenksville, PA, and Derek Friday of Lansdale, PA; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at 11 AM on August 1, 2018 at Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford (Franconia Twp.), PA, where family will receive friends beginning at 10 AM.
