Jeanne (Lembo) Russo, 95, formerly of Betzwood, West Norriton Township, PA, and Bradenton, FL, passed away July 24, 2018, at Meadowood Senior Living in Worcester, PA. She was the beloved wife of her childhood sweetheart, the late Anthony G. Russo, to whom she was married for over 69 years.

Born February 20, 1923, in Philadelph­ia, PA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Fannie (Tartaglia) Lembo, and a graduate of West Catholic High School for Girls.

She married in 1946, after the end of World War II, and became a homemaker, a vocation she embraced with love, and at which she excelled.

Mrs. Russo was a long-time member and volunteer of St. Teresa of Avila Church.

She was a former volunteer at Valley Forge National Park during the nation’s bicentenni­al and was an accomplish­ed knitter.

Mrs. Russo was an amazing cook, who loved preparing Italian meals for her family, most especially during the holidays.

She was a dedicated, devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmothe­r, who was always happy and smiling.

Those closest to her were delighted to experience her quick wit and dry sense of humor.

During her retirement years she enjoyed living in Florida with her husband.

She was an avid reader and loved playing cards with her husband and friends.

She is survived by a son, Anthony R. Russo and his wife, Fran, of Collegevil­le, PA; a daughter, Rosemary Gehrlein and her husband, Steven, of Betzwood; a grandson, David Bradley and his future fiancé, Meredith Dean, of Princeton, NJ; and her sister Josephine Tocci. Mrs. Russo is also survived by her step grand- and great-grandchild­ren, and many nieces and nephews, spanning three generation­s.

She was predecease­d by her son Joseph N. Russo, in 1972; her husband Anthony G. Russo in 2016; and two siblings, Teresa Finio, and Frank Lembo. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing from 6-8 PM on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at the R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 3440 Skippack Pike at Cedars Rd., Skippack, PA, and again on Monday from 8:45 -9:45 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 1260 S. Trooper Rd., Norristown, PA.

The Funeral Mass will begin at 10 AM at the church with burial following at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Delaware County, PA.
