William H. Hathaway Sr., formerly of Lower Frederick;

William W. Hathaway Sr., 99, husband of the late Marie M. (Levy) Hathaway, died Friday, August 3, 2018, at Sanatoga Center, Lower Pottsgrove Twp.

He was a former Lower Frederick Twp. resident.

Mr. Hathaway was born on November 14, 1918, in Norristown, and was the son of the late William H. and Rebecca (Roshong) Hathaway.

Mr. Hathaway retired in 1985, from the B.F. Goodrich Tire Co., Upper Providence Twp., where he worked for 30 years.

Mr. Hathaway served in the US Army during World War II and was a member of Roy S. Leidy Post #203, American Legion, in Schwenksvi­lle.

Mr. Hathaway is survived by his sons, William Jr., husband of Sandi (Deppen) Hathaway, Elizabetht­own, and Jeffrey, husband of Barbara (Kriebel) Hathaway, Lansdale; his grandsons, James, husband of Lisa (Meeker) Hathaway, Bechtelsvi­lle, and Timothy Hathaway, husband of Rachel Hendricks, Schwenksvi­lle; his great-grandchild­ren, Sharon Campitelli and Maurice Hathaway, his greatgreat-grandchild­ren, Allyana, Madison, Austin, Dylan, Bella and Lucas; his sister, Ruth, wife of the late William Vogt, Upper Providence Twp.; and his companion, Shirley Diaz.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Nathalie Foose of Collegevil­le.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, at Highland Memorial Park, 701 Farmington Ave., Pottstown, with the Rev. J. Rodney O’Donnell, Interim Pastor, Green Tree Church Of The Brethren, Upper Providence Twp., officiatin­g.
