FBI, police search for Citizens Bank robber
NORRISTOWN » The Norristown Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the Aug. 8, 2018, robbery of the Citizens Bank branch located at 101 W. Main St. in Norristown.
According to an FBI Philadelphia Division release, at approximately 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, the subject entered the bank, approached the counter, and presented a demand note to a teller. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, she fled the area of the bank on foot.
The subject is described as a black female in her 30s to 50s, approximately 5-feet-5 to5-feet-7 tall, heavy build. She was wearing medium blue full-length Muslim-style garb, large sunglasses, and gray sneakers, and carrying a dark-colored purse.
This subject is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about this robbery or this subject is urged to call the Norristown Police Department at 610278-TIPS (8477) or the FBI at 215-418-4000.
