Jerry DiGiovanni;

Jerry DiGiovanni passed away on August 13, 2018 at age 79.

Born on November 26, 1938 in Sciacca, Italy, Jerry was the son of Giuseppa (Augello) and Accursio DiGiovanni.

He resided in East Norriton with his beloved wife of 55 years, Dolores (Rossi) DiGiovanni.

Jerry was the loving father of Jerry, Dean (Jennifer), Michael (Genevieve); grandfather to Dean Christopher, Matthew Jerome, Kristen Marie and Chase Michael; brother to the late Accursio (Sina), Joe (Margaret, deceased), Vince (Zina), Charles (Nancy) and the late Margerita Cucchiara (deceased Rosolino Cucchiara). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

After arriving in the United States in 1956, Jerry met Dolores, the love of his life, and settled in East Norriton, PA.

He was the founder, owner and operator of Jerry D’s Pizzeria in Norristown, Ridley Township, and East Norriton.

He also worked for Methacton School District and most recently proudly served as a crossing guard for West Norriton Township during his retirement years.

Jerry’s passion was spending time with his grandchildren and he frequently attended their games, shows, and concerts.

He also enjoyed traveling the world, visiting family in Italy, watching wrestling, playing the accordion and guitar, and making Sunday dinners for his family.

Relatives and friends are invited to Jerry’s Life Celebration at BoydHorrox-Givnish of East Norriton, 200 W. Germantown Pike on Friday, August 17, 2018 from 8:30-10:45 am. Jerry’s Funeral Mass will be held at Visitation BVM Church at 11:30 am followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken.
